Symphony of Lights

We are booked to Hong Kong on January. My parents and my brother and his family are coming with us so this will be something to look forward to plus it will be my son's first trip abroad and his first ride on a plane. I sure hope he behaves well.

There so much to do in Hong Kong but what I'm excited for my son is his trip to Disneyland. He will see Buzz and Woody, the characters he only sees in movies plus he will witness the awesome fireworks display in the end of the Disney adventure which I'm sure he'll love, even for the rest of my family. It's not my first time to be in Disney, D and I came there during our honeymoon trip in Hong Kong but my parents and the rest of the family will have to witness Disney for the first time so this will surely be awesome. Then there's this...

The Symphony of Lights

This spectacular multimedia display, named the "World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" by Guinness World Records, involves 44 key buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour.

The show creates an all-round vision of coloured lights, laser beams and searchlights performing a stunning, unforgettable spectacle synchronised to music and narration that celebrates the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong.

There are five main themes — Awakening, Energy, Heritage, Partnership and the finale, Celebration. On festive days, special pyrotechnic displays launched from the middle of the harbour add extra sparkle to the show.

For the best view of A Symphony of Lights, take a harbour cruise or head to the waterfront promenades on either side of Victoria Harbour*. The show, organised by the Tourism Commission, is a must-see event on any visit to Hong Kong.

Since this is my third time to be in Hong Kong I will be their tour guide. We've decided not to join the tours since it will be a waste of time. I sure hope that this trip will be a success, I wish everybody will have so much fun plus I hope the ladies will get to shop for some great deals there. Yihee.

I have been to Hong Kong twice and I made sure to see the symphony of lights each night. I agree with you that tours are a waste of time. Since their public transportation system is so good you can see anything you like on your own. If you haven't already, Tian Tan Buddha, Po Lin Monastery and Wisdom Path on Lautau Island are must sees. Have a fantastic time.

Nice picture of "A Symphony of Lights" you got here :) I wasn't able to take great pics of the show when I went there.
