The First Lady and Her Toy Watch

Everybody close to me knows that I'm a sucker for watches, I have a few nice pieces I wear alternately everyday. It's my only fashion statement, I don't wear bracelets nor necklaces just my watches. So I got too excited when I saw the toy watch that was talked about online and it became even more popular when the First Lady herself, Michelle Obama wore her Ultra Violet Plasteramic Toy Watch in public, for sure this will be a fashion hit this fall and come Christmas season.

I’m not really a trend setter, depends if it suits my taste but you can say I follow watch fashion always simply because I love watches! And now that these toy watches have created a stir in fashion, and since Ms. Oprah and the First Lady have seen wearing one, oh boy you bet they are officially a trend!

Michelle Obama’s choices, according to NBC , are wearable , but more importantly, they’re exciting. In my opinion, I love the First Lady’s taste in fashion because they are easy to find and are actually affordable.

In an AOL Beauty & Style article entitled, Michelle Obama on Jay Leno in J. Crew – Get the Look! She spoke of how she shops for her clothes that is mostly from online stores since it’s more convenient. I admire her simplicity, fashion is not about wearing expensive stuff it’s how you put it all together and make it look expensive and classy.

For a watch lover like me, I will surely eye a few toy watches that I can afford in the future, aside from Michelle Obama’s purple watch here are my faves…

Cagsawa Ruins

I always wanted to go to Bicol to see the Mt. Mayon but I never knew that there is such as thing as popular at the perfect cone volcano and that is the Cagsawa Ruins.

I actually know that this is the ruins of an old church that was affected by the eruption of Mt. Mayon during the 1800s where the townspeople fled to the church and perished when it engulfed in the fiery flows leaving just the tower, now to serve as the memorial to all those who died but didn't know what it is called. Today Cagsawa Ruins is one of the tourist spots in Bicol.

Investing in Monex

It is very essential that we earn extra aside from our salaries. Since we are busy with our work and of course our personal life, that is our marriage and our kids, we are often in doubt whether to invest on business, business needs more time and how can we squeeze in that if we already have work and family? What better way to invest our money but to invest it on something that does not need to much of our time.

Metal, weight and purity, these are the factors that affect the value of bullion. Do you know that gold is has more value that silver but platinum has more value than gold. So what are the types of bullion? These are silver, gold and platinum bullion coins. Weight is measured in troy ounces, where one troy ounce is equal to approximately 31g. So might ask me what am I talking about? I know you might be confused but I want you to know that investing in gold bullion coins will certainly bring you lots of money plus you will still have time for everything. Instead of having a business, why not invest in gold, silver or platinum? Each popular and well known country is actually offering one particular type of bullion coin, a good example is the American eagle bullion coin, which is the silver bullion coin of the United States that has a classic design of the walking Liberty and is a public favorite of all time.

For your information, investing in such has been a long time practice even centuries ago from our ancestors to preserve one’s wealth and purchasing power. Bullion investing is actually already money, real and honest money. But of course there is the problem of trusting which company to have your investment and Monex comes in mind. Since 1967, it has been helping every investor by putting your buy and sell coins in the market. Their staff are expert to answer all your questions plus is always ready for reporting every market activity. Even the clueless investor like me will learn more about the investment in no time, no doubt that Monex is uniquely qualified to serve your precious metals needs.

We may not finish first because I'm sure there will be pros joining the event but trying this for the first time will be a treat. Anyway...

Paypal Donations for Philippine National Red Cross Operations

I read Daphne’s post about PNRC here and I had the same little problem when I decided to donate to Red Cross online, I was actually looking for a paypal account since I know and trust PNRC very well but I couldn’t agree more with the author Paulo Coelho:

RT: I had to sent a bank order. Jurassic! Ppl can’t act on impulse. Filipinos talk to Red Cross: donations online! (via @paulocoelho)

I guess people have read Paulo’s tweet and sent the message to Red Cross so now they have paypal account where you can donate online…
