Great for Summer Getaway

Summer is the best season to plan a getaway. Everybody I know is already planning a vacation, some even went to beaches already and my Facebook is already flooding with beach photos of some of my friends. We are also planning a beach getaway. I would love to take my family to Karisma Hotels + Resorts, avail their Gourmet-Inclusive package or experience the vast beach front of Azul Beach. They promise that parents will be pampered with adult-sized indulgences as well as extras like strollers, cribs, baby milk heaters, beach games, coloring books, refrigerators for milk and medicines, and even kid-sized bathrobes. Then me and my husband will even have our well deserved romantic cancun vacation. Even beach buff will experience the services of dedicated Beach Butlers, offering the ultimate in service and sun bathing convenience, including soft towel service, refreshment deliveries, tanning products and water vaporizers. These things are so exciting and worth it, I bet! I hope to have a nice getaway this year, maybe the Karisma has to wait because we need to save more for that. Maybe next Summer!

Star every Summer

It's time for Philippine's famous Halo-Halo again! It's Summer and it's so refreshing to have a tall glass of Halo-Halo in the afternoon or maybe even in the mornings. Whatever suits you!

Halo-halo (from "halo" = mix) is a favorite Filipino dessert or snack. It is basically a mixture of sweet preserved beans(red beans, chick peas), coconut meat (macapuno), jackfruit (langka), pounded dried rice (pinipig), sweet yam (ube), cream flan (leche flan), shreds of sweetened plantain (saba), filled with crushed ice, milk (or coconut milk) and topped with ice cream. The halo-halo basically is sweet, creamy, and a filling dessert.

This Filipino concoction is quite popular during the hot summer months (March-June) in the country, just as ice cream is. It is usually served in tall, clear glasses that show its colorful contents that tempt one's taste buds. One's thirst is even made worse by the perspiring ice-filled glass, and the melting ice cream on top.

Agave Cantina

We had our Valentine's date this year at Agave Cantina in Eastwood and I must say, I love the ambiance, the food and the cocktails. During our date I had 3 Strawberry Margarita and a Strawberry Daiquiri and I came home okay. It was so light, I didn't get tipsy. Hubby on the other hand ordered 3 San Mig Premium, I didn't try it, I don't like drinking beer anymore but he actually love the Premium, I will just have to take his word for it. I will surely come back with hubby there soon.

Time to Invest

A friend and I were talking online last Monday and we are thinking of ways to find extra money aside from our 8-5 jobs. She suddenly blurted out of nowhere, "time to buy gold bullion". Lights Show in Pure Flesh

Witnessing the Hong Kong Lights Show in the Avenue of the Stars along the Harbour was again an awesome experience just like the first time I saw it. Unlike our first experience of it though, now we enjoyed the show without the too many people, well it was so foggy that night but my husband caught it nicely on cam...
