Better be Gold

A friend of mine is looking for something to invest on. They bought a new house and have a few savings from a land they sold in the province. She has extra money and her husband suggested to have a small business since she is a stay at home mom. But she feels she is more needed by their daughter so she is thinking of just investing it and buy gold coins so that her extra money will not go into waste. She heard me talking about it once when I told her that my husband's boss is encouraging my husband to invest in gold because it's a great way to protect your money. She will even have professionals who she can trust to safe guard her investment while she takes care of her family which is ideal while her daughter is still young and by the time that her daughter is in College, it will be proper to see her earnings from investing in gold and her husband will be so happy about it. I wish her luck because she truly deserves it.

Bring It On

Yes, on Sunday (Philippines time), Pacman will be facing another contender, Joshua Clottey. We are expecting another great fight from the mighty athlete. You bet people all over the world and of course, us here in the Philippines will be glued to the television this Sunday.

Quote from Philstar.com:

Clottey, the Ghanaian challenger, will try to wrest the WBO welterweight crown from the Filipino pound-for-pound king, who became the first fighter to win seven world titles in seven weight divisions with an 11th round stoppage of Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto last year.

This shoudl be an exciting fight. I can't wait! Who am I rooting for? Who else, The Pacman of course!

Summer in the Philippines

For those beach lovers and sun worshipers, finally! Summer is here! I'm not happy. I'm not really fond of very hot weather, I prefer Spring or Fall, I love cold but I think I will not like snow because it's wet and it really gets dirty from what I heard from my sister who lives in Canada. Anyway, yes Philippines can get really serious when it comes to its Summer. We actually have around 36 degrees Celcius weather almost everyday that's around 97 degrees Fahrenheit. So if you want to hit the beaches in my country, try doing it around March to early May, you won't get disappointed, you might end up praying for rain and putting ice on those sunburn!
